I love TikTok. TikTok is a place for creators. I’ve been a fan for a long time, but did you know you can actually utilize it to expand your understanding of technology? There are a lot of creators on the TikTok platform that produce some amazingly simple and useful content. Here are a few examples.
Microsoft Office Tips & Tricks
I follow Mike Tholfsen on TikTok. He also has a YouTube channel. He has some amazingly simple and useful Microsoft Office tips and tricks. I’m not even sure how he packs so much information into a video only a minute long. As he says, he keeps his videos “short and sweet.” From what I can tell, Mike does work for Microsoft, and his tips are spot-on. And with more than 242,000 followers as of this blog post, he definitely has an audience.
iPhone Tips & Tricks
There are a ton of creators who post videos about iOS tips and tricks. They show the latest and greatest features. I’ll be honest, I don’t have time to read up on every new iOS update and feature. There’s where TikTok comes in. People love sharing the little things that they find. Search for hashtags like #iphonehack and you’ll find plenty of things to keep you entertained. Just be careful, as not all of the suggested tips are on the up-and-up.
New & Innovative Products
Just search for #technology and you’ll (hopefully) find a bunch of neat technology items. TikTok creators share a lot of new and innovative technology products. Again, just be careful. There’s plenty of crap on TikTok, so caveat emptor.
For “techno entertainment” I suggest following Linus Tech Tips. They have a fantastic YouTube channel that I’ve been following for years. Not to say that their YouTube channel isn’t entertaining, it’s just that their TikTok is definitely more humorous.
