Web designers around the globe have been in a constant battle with this horribly outdated browser. However, there is hope on the horizon - the end of IE6 may be closer than we realize. Continue reading →

The default WordPress comment system is OK, but I wanted something more. So this past weekend, I decided to switch The Apheus Blog over to a new comment system powered by IntenseDebate. There are lots of other websites using ID, so I thought I would give it a whirl. I've been very pleased with the transition and it opens up a number of comment-tastic possibilities. In my opinion, IntenseDebate is the future of blog commenting. Continue reading →

I gave it a few days to sink in, but Yahoo! announced last week that their organic search results would now be powered by Bing - the search engine from Microsoft. Together, these two search engine giants will now control about 27.9% of the market. Google is still ranked #1 with 64.2% of the market. What does that mean for search engine optimization? Well, I'm not entirely sure yet. One of the things I now know is that we'll have to worry about one less piece of the bigger SEO puzzle - or do we? Continue reading →
