I think that's only in the paid version (which I don't have), but... I would assume that would you should do is double-click the AVG icon in your system tray to bring up the control panel for the firewall.... find you setting and remove it. I have had no success updating my AVG 9.0 the last couple weeks at least. It was always seamless before. I even uninstalled and reinstalled it! I too am looking for a new avenue.
