Adobe Issues Emergency Update To Flash After Ransomware Attacks

Flash has long been the bane of my web design experience. I never liked it and I never will. Today I have yet another reason to hate Flash. Billions of users across the globe are being urged to update their Flash Player immediately.

The reason is because of a major security flaw that may make many computer system susceptible a “drive-by attack” of the Flash plugin, allowing ransomware to get onto a system. If you don’t update now, you may end up paying a $200+ ransom to a hacker. Adobe says that the vulnerability affects Windows, Macintosh, Linux and ChromeOS users.

This is just another security flaw in a long string of flaws affecting Flash. My recommendation is to completely remove Flash from your computer, but if you still need it, you should definitely upgrade.
